CEO & Founder
Heather completed her PhD at MIT in Mechanical Engineering, where she co-founded MIT's D-Lab: Education class. She also teaches engineering at Ashesi University.
Joseph Quaye Amoo
Programmes Manager
Quaye has a BA in Communications Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. He is a passionate development activist. He leads the team to design and implement training programmes for STEM teachers in Africa.
Margaret Dzakpasu
Finance & Admin. Manager
Margaret holds an MBA in Finance from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed. Social Sciences) from University of Cape Coast. In the past, Margaret has had extensive experience working on USAID projects, from January 2003 to February 2018.
Emelia Benedicta Mensah
Partnerships & Resource Mobilisation Manager
Emelia holds an MBA in International Trade from the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. She has a vast experience in Business Development and Customer Relations. She is leading PEN's drive to build partnerships with education stakeholders and mobilise resources to scale up PEN's impact.
Fredrick Ohene Atta Opoku
Logistics Officer
Fredrick manages PEN's logistics to ensure the smooth running of all operations. He is a Marine Science graduate from the University of Ghana.
Mawuena Asem Hanson
Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer
Mawuena monitors and evaluates all projects and interventions at PEN. Mawuena holds a masters degree in Global Health from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden and a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science from University of Ghana, Legon.
Isaac Sogbadzi
Curriculum and Training Officer
Isaac is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast, holding a Bachelor of Education in Science and a Diploma in Mathematics and Science Education from the same institution. His extensive experience in teacher development programs as well as teaching mathematics and science, positions him to provide training to STEM teachers and assist with the development of PEN's hands-on resource manual.
Daniel Ewusi Essel
STEM Curriculum Development and Training Officer
Daniel holds a BSc in Materials Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and he is passionate about making STEM education fun and accessible. His expertise in additive manufacturing, robotics, and electronics fuels affordable solutions that empower educators and students globally. He also creates educational games in his free time.
Cyril Assem
Partnerships and Communications Officer
Cyril holds an Executive MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana's Business School. He has extensive experience working in partnership development, relationship management, and strategic communications across diverse sectors including in international education. Cyril plays a key role in both the Partnerships and Programs units of PEN, supporting resource mobilization and program communications
Christiana Brammea Obubah
IT Support Assistant
Christiana, a dynamic IT/Support Assistant who is passionate about empowering others through technology! With a solid foundation in IT from her diploma at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she's now in her final year of pursuing a BSc. in Information Technology. Christiana is a dedicated STEM and robotics aficionado who loves solving real-world problems. When she's not hitting the books, you can find her providing top-notch IT support to the PEN team, ensuring our tech runs smoothly and seamlessly.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). With a robust foundation in marketing and business communication, she plays a pivotal role in executing strategic marketing initiatives and cultivating valuable business relationships. Her academic training has honed her expertise in market analysis, consumer insights, and communication dynamics, all of which she leverages to enhance brand visibility and drive impactful results in her role as Partnership and Marketing Assistant.
Michael Turkson
Curriculum and Training Assistant
Michael recently graduated with a BSc in Mathematics Education from the University of Ghana.
With a focus on hands-on learning and real-world applications, he aims to inspire students to explore the connections between mathematics and other STEM fields, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Keren is a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Biotechnology. She is passionate about hands-on STEM education and strongly believes in PEN's vision. As a part of the Curriculum and Training department at PEN, she leverages on her science background to develop content and support training workshops that equip teachers and students to learn and love STEM.
