    Heather completed her PhD at MIT in Mechanical Engineering, where she co-founded MIT's D-Lab: Education class. She also teaches engineering at Ashesi University.

    Programmes Manager

    Quaye has a BA in Communications Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. He is a passionate development activist. He leads the team to design and implement training programmes for STEM teachers in Africa.

    Emelia Benedicta Mensah

    Partnerships & Resource Mobilisation Manager

    Emelia holds an MBA in International Trade from the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. She has a vast experience in Business Development and Customer Relations. She is leading PEN's drive to build partnerships with education stakeholders and mobilise resources to scale up PEN's impact.

    Mawuena Asem Hanson

    Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer

    Mawuena monitors and evaluates all projects and interventions at PEN. Mawuena holds a masters degree in Global Health from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden and a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science from University of Ghana, Legon.

    Daniel Ewusi Essel

    STEM Curriculum Development and Training Officer

    Daniel holds a BSc in Materials Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and he is passionate about making STEM education fun and accessible. His expertise in additive manufacturing, robotics, and electronics fuels affordable solutions that empower educators and students globally. He also creates educational games in his free time.

    Isaac Sogbadzi

    Curriculum and Training Officer

    Isaac is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast, holding a Bachelor of Education in Science and a Diploma in Mathematics and Science Education from the same institution. His extensive experience in teacher development programs as well as teaching mathematics and science, positions him to provide training to STEM teachers and assist with the development of PEN's hands-on resource manual.

    Fredrick Ohene Atta Opoku

    Logistics Officer

    Fredrick manages PEN's logistics to ensure the smooth running of all operations. He is a Marine Science graduate from the University of Ghana.

    Keziah Eyram Clad

    PEN GSTEP Project Coordinator

    Keziah Eyram Clad is a graduate of the University of Ghana with a BSc. in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology and a passion for STEM education.

    She has supported the curriculum and training unit to develop hands-on manuals and train teachers within PEN's teacher roadmap.

    With the experience she has gathered, she joins PEN as the PEN GSTEP Project Coordinator, recruiting the best coaches and mentors and coordinating their activities to provide the needed support to all competing student teams. She hopes that PEN’s role in the 2025 GSTEP project will serve as a springboard to strengthen the impact of the challenge.

    Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). With a robust foundation in marketing and business communication, she plays a pivotal role in executing strategic marketing initiatives and cultivating valuable business relationships. Her academic training has honed her expertise in market analysis, consumer insights, and communication dynamics, all of which she leverages to enhance brand visibility and drive impactful results in her role as Partnership and Marketing Assistant.
